Nobody wakes up in the morning and says "today I am going to continue being broke." We all want to be successful, regardless of our background, gender, ethnicity, etc. We all have goals, dreams and aspirations for greatness, however, many of us lack the habits of success. Most people have the desire to get something more out of life but how many actually roll up their sleeves and put the work in?
This time we're going to take a look into 5 habits of the world's most successful people to get you motivated to make this a powerful and productive Monday!
1. Wake Up Earlier
44% wake up 3 hours before work and get ready for the day
(When you wake up before everyone else, you have a leg up on the competition)
2. Read Everyday
88% read at least 30 minutes a day if not more and actively try to learn new things
(Topics range from biographies of other successful people, self-help, health, current events, psychology, and leadership)
3. Make a List of Goals
81% create and maintain a to-do-list
("Five days a week, I read my goals before I go to sleep and when I wake up. There are 10 goals around health, family and business with expiration dates, and I update them every six months." - Daymond John)
4. Exercise Regularly
76% exercise 4 times a week, usually aerobic exercise e.g. jogging, biking, swimming, etc
(One study showed that adults that had performed aerobic exercises over a 6-month period had significantly more activity in the frontal cortex of their brains - the area associated with executive function, e.g. planning and long-term memory storage)
5. Network Consistently
79% make it a habit to network at least 5 hours every month if not more
(You increase your chances of discovering new opportunities when you make networking a discipline)
